Lordswood Sports and Social Club is a community amateur sports club owned by the members. It was formed in the early 70’s with the amalgamation of Lordswood Cricket Club and Lordswood Football Club who purchased the land for the Clubhouse to be built
in 1977 and since that date Lordswood Rugby Club and Petanque (boules) have joined.
The Clubhouse now comprises of two comfortable bars, with large function hall and
small meeting/conference room which are available for members to hire – see Hall Hire.
There is a lovely patio area, overlooking the grounds which consists of 2 cricket pitches,
2 senior football pitches, 1 youth pitch, 2 rugby pitches, over 20 pistes for petanque
(boules). There is also a floodlight astro-turf pitch. Cricket, Football and Rugby all have junior sections - see Sports Sections. In the Clubhouse we have a Large Screen Televisions with Setanta on which all main sporting events are shown, Pool table, Dartboards – see Facilities.
The Club, along with the sports sections, has a very lively social side.
Entertainment is put on for members on a regular basis on a Saturday or Sunday evening. See What’s on.
Opening Hours: All day from 12noon Monday - Friday
11.30am till late Saturday and Sunday
Food is available daily, with the exception of Mondays. See Catering - catering franchise.
Quiz Nights are held last Tuesday in each month.
Club has a Darts team, plays Wednesday evenings.
Friday Night, Bingo special and Meat raffle, Top Bar.
Senior Citizen Clubs held on Monday and Wednesday afternoons – bingo, tea and biscuits – trips out.
